At CloroxPro, our Clinical and Scientific Affairs team, composed of infection preventionists, public health and disinfection experts, and scientists, is dedicated to educating and empowering cleaning and healthcare professionals to help eliminate the environment as a source of infection. They use their credentials and experiences to deliver science-backed products, best-in-class educational content and tools to help people clean for health effectively, efficiently and safely. They stay current on the latest research and technologies to solve real-world challenges to help make public spaces like schools, offices, and hospitals safer and healthier for everyone.

Our board-certified infection preventionists have extensive knowledge and over 20 years’ experience. They possess expertise in infectious pathogens, how they are transmitted, the best strategies for preventing their spread, and deliver resources including educational courses and toolkits.
Public Health
Our public health experts understand how bacteria, viruses, and other organisms spread, thrive, and persist in environments. They work to provide timely advice on public health threats and offer pathogen education and cleaning and disinfecting protocols that can assist in an outbreak response.
Disinfection Science
Our team of scientists use the latest research and technology, while remaining current on regulatory standards, to develop everyday solutions for effective cleaning and disinfection. They deliver products and protocols built around safety, efficacy and efficiency to kill the right pathogens in the right places while keeping surfaces in good condition.
Real-World Research
Our team partners with external experts in the fields of infectious disease and commercial cleaning to do research outside the laboratory to create evidence-based cleaning and disinfection best practices across industries. Who We Are
Doe Kley, RN, MPH, T-CHEST, LTC-CIP, CIC
Doe Kley is the Infection Prevention Fellow within Clorox Healthcare’s Clinical and Scientific Affairs team and is passionate about identifying problems and finding solutions to the many challenges faced in infection prevention. She develops tools and solutions based on her nearly 20 years of clinical expertise. Much of her expertise in acute care infection prevention comes from working in large healthcare systems including Intermountain Healthcare and Kaiser Permanente. Doe is a registered nurse and received her Master of Public Health from the University of Nevada, Reno, as well as a Bachelor of Microbiology from Weber State University. She taught an infection control course for the Ohio State University (OSU) from 2019 to 2022 and is also dual board certified in infection prevention and epidemiology in both acute and long-term care. Additionally, Doe is certified to train EVS through the Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) and is currently a member of AHE, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology (APIC), the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA). Doe is active on several committees including the Test Committee for the Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology (CBIC) and the Advisory Council for the Pearce Foundation Environmental Services Optimization Playbook (EvSOP). She also served on the Board of Directors for the California APIC Coordinating Council (CACC) in 2022.
Lori Strazdas, MPH, T-CHEST
Lori Strazdas is a Senior Specialist within CloroxPro’s Clinical and Scientific Affairs Team. She is passionate about improving public health in indoor environments by helping cleaning professionals create cleaner and healthier shared spaces. Lori’s work currently focuses on developing sustainable, evidence-based approaches to cleaning and disinfecting and creating industry-leading educational resources to enable improved real-world outcomes. Lori is also a consensus body member on the BSR/IICRC S410 Standard for Infection Control During Professional Cleaning and Maintenance of the Commercial Built Environment and sits on the Board of Directors of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. Lori earned her Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Arizona. Post-graduation, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to Lithuania. Lori is trainer-certified to train EVS through the Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) and is a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA), the Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI), and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
Emily Rosenberg, MPH
Emily Rosenberg is a Principal Specialist within CloroxPro’s Clinical and Scientific Affairs team and is passionate about public health, infection prevention,and making a measurable impact on health and safety. Her work focuses on infection prevention, healthcare, surface disinfection, and public health. Emily earned her Master of Public Health concentrating in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Boston University and her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science and Microbiology from the University of Arizona. She is currently a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA),and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
Kirsten Hochberg, Ph.D.
Kirsten Hochberg is a Senior Specialist within CloroxPro’s Clinical and Scientific Affairs team and is passionate about the health and safety of public spaces while improving environmental protection and sustainability. Kirsten’s work is focused on providing technical expertise to help people create safe cleaning and disinfection practices in public spaces. Kirsten earned her Ph.D. in Immunology and her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado. She is currently a member of the Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI), the American Public Health Association (APHA), and the American Association of Immunologists (AAI).
Erin N. McLean, Ph.D.
Erin McLean is a Specialist within CloroxPro’s Clinical and Scientific Affairs team and is committed to leveraging her research expertise and scientific knowledge to help people and to contribute to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable society. Erin’s interests in toxicology, human health and environmental safety perfectly align with her current work, which focuses on cleaning, electrostatic spray technology and supporting more sustainable cleaning alternatives. Erin earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with concentrations in Toxicology from the University of Florida and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Howard University. She is currently a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA) and the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA).
