To understand how it came to be that the Ripon Fire Department and Diamond Pet Foods Plant would even begin to benefit each other, it starts with addressing an issue the fire department has been dealing with during the coronavirus pandemic: time lost sanitizing its ambulances. To save time and get the ambulances back on the road at a much faster rate, the chief bought the Clorox product and a handheld fogger, which cut the fire department's turnaround time for sanitation to about 15 minutes, Bitters said.
